(They/Them) is a Queer and trans filmmaker from the Seattle area who has been working on films for almost a decade. They are a writer and director dedicated to telling unique stories about social justice issues, mental health challenges, and radically progressive viewpoints. Rather than spend four years in film school, Kim decided to go their own path by learning on the job and working with a coach. NAVIGATE is the first short film that they are submitting to festivals with many more short and feature length films to come. When they’re not working on films, you can find them chatting in great length about classic cocktails and whiskey.

Miriam Nauss

Miriam Nauss

(She/Her) Is a born and bred native of the Pacific Northwest; and proud of it despite the fact she actively avoids hiking at all costs. She is a graduate of the school of soft knocks; i.e., she does not have a degree (yet) but once ate a box of donuts she found on a park bench and suffered no ill effects - she has since realized the foolishness of that decision and has chosen not to repeat it unless they’re jelly filled. Miriam pursued acting for a while but has since discovered her true joy lies in improv comedy. Because of Covid-19 you will not find her actively pursuing this at the moment, but she CAN still be found knitting terrible sweaters, playing a moderately skilled game of darts, or baking a truly excellent batch of brownies. She is so thankful for the opportunity to have been part of Navigate and is incredibly proud of all the work that went into its making.

Stay tuned for an in-depth look at 'Navigate', behind the scenes, and future festival annoucements.

COMING SOON - A look behind the scenes with the writer/director, cast, and crew with a first-hand glimpse at what went into developing this ambitious short film.
